#kentndp by-election in Kent recap #nbpoli

The Kent by-election to replace Shawn Graham as Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) took place this past Monday (April 15). The final results: I took time to be part of the NDP campaign. I was able to go to the nomination meeting where Susan Levi-Peters was acclaimed as the candidate. This took place in Bouctouche on March 23. Dominic Cardy spoke, giving his support to Susan. Susan accepted the nomination. The media spoke to Susan and Dominic. The campaign was on. And I also went down to Kent to assist in the final days of the election. I had an off-road experience on the back roads of Kent County, [...]

Election Postscript #RHAB6

Election Postscript #RHAB6

It has been one week since election day here in New Brunswick. I am happy with the results. The campaign team I was part of was able to claim success. Victory! Greg Ericson is Councillor-Elect for Ward 8 in Fredericton. Mayor Woodside is still mayor. Matt Hayes gave a good campaign and brought lots of ideas to the table, but in the end, Fredericton proved happy to re-elect the Brad to a record eighth term as mayor of this great city. My campaign ended somewhat as expected. I placed second to last place, taking 704 votes. I had no expectation or any indication of how good/bad I might do in [...]

Monday is E-Day #RHAB6

Credit: http://blogs.canoe.ca/davidakin/2008/08/22/

Monday is election day. If you have voted already through special ballot or advance polls, thank you. If you are planning on voting Monday, good job. If you still don’t know where to vote, check out http://www1.gnb.ca/elections/munstreetkey/munskinformation-e.asp. On Monday, I will helping Greg Ericson’s campaign. I have been involved with Greg’s campaign from the start. I have taken photos of him for his brochures. I have taken photos at campaign events. If you live in Ward 8, please vote for Greg. This campaign for me has been interesting and going into Monday, I have no idea how many people know me to vote for me. I have tried to make [...]

RHA B6 Candidates (Updated)

For the second part of the election cycle, the regional health authority is electing 1 person to represent Subsection B6. There are nine candidates, of which I am one. I am including candidate names for the regional health authority and a link to each. The link I include for on my name is to my ad on Kijiji. The election is MAY 14, coinciding with the municipal election and the ballot is presented on the same form. Depending on the area you live, you may vote for mayor, and council, as well the district education council and regional health authority. Running a campaign for a district that encompasses Fredericton, New Maryland, Oromocto, [...]

Fredericton Municipal Candidates

For disclosure, I am part of Greg Ericson’s campaign. I live in Ward 12 I thought people might be interested in having a look at the municipal canadidates for the municipal election in Fredericton. I have included information websites where I could find them. I have avoided social media links where I could with one notable exception: Greg Ericson. And barring my public statement on Twitter of who I would vote for if I lived in certain wards, I make no claim of support and have not helped any campaign, except Greg’s. If you’ve found your way here and can vote, look at the candidates fairly. If you don’t know where to [...]

Why RHA is important to me

The Regional Health Authority (RHA) election is being held May 14, in conjunction with the District Education Council (DEC) and the Municipal Elections. I have chosen to place my name on the ballot for the RHA subsection B6. This is includes the geography of Fredericton, New Maryland, Oromocto, Gagetown, Cambridge Narrows, Minto, Chipman, Doaktown, Upper Miramichi, Stanley. For anglophone New Brunswick, the RHA is Horizon Health Network, encompassing Miramichi, Woodstock, Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton. Horizon Health Network is run by a management team on behalf of a board of directors. This is the first election that board members will be elected. There will be 8 board members elected and [...]

Family Doctor

I am Doug Mullin, running to be elected Board Member for the Regional Health Authority  Subsection B6. The geography of this section encompasses Fredericton to Doaktown, Upper Miramichi to Cambridge Narrows, Stanley to Chipman & Minto, and certainly not least, Oromocto and New Maryland. In my previous post, I stated that I am relatively healthy. To be very truthful, I don’t know that. I have assumed that because I feel well. I am coming to the age in life where I should be consulting a doctor regarding my general health. For example, prostrate cancer is a leading killer, which can be defeated through early detection. The Prostrate Cancer Canada network [...]

Doug Mullin For Regional Health Authority B6

I am Doug Mullin, running for the Regional Health Authority election to represent Subsection B6. If elected, this means I would serve on the Board of Directors for Horizon Health Network. I want to represent your concerns as your Board Member. I am choosing to run because I am a relatively healthy person. I have no medical problems of which I am aware. However, I hear friends and acquiantances complain about problems in our health care system. I want to be a part of the solution. I want our system to be well-managed and accessible to all. My health issues are structural issues, of primary concern: 1. access to family medicine. [...]
